Alice Mabel Bacon had a variety of different haircuts during her career. She reached fame as a talented educator and author. Nevertheless, the American writer/women's educator/foreign advisor to the Japanese government in Meiji period Japan was mainly known for her extradordinary fashion sense and her livable character.
